Haddox, Jessica - Choir
Mrs. HaddoxMrs. Haddox began studying piano at the age of 4. By the time she was seven years old, she was competing in piano festivals and competitions, and By 11, she was taking lessons from a college professor and concert pianist at Idaho State University. Although she loved playing the piano, her family could no longer afford the lessons. Still wanting to be involved in music, she began playing the piano for and eventually singing with her school choir. Mrs. Haddox graduated from Rigby High School in 1998, and went on to study vocal performance at Ricks College, a junior college in Rexburg, ID. There, she met her husband, Michael who was studying French Horn. They married in 2000. While at Ricks College, Mrs. Haddox tutored music history, music theory, aural skills, and diction for singers. She also had the opportunity to student direct three of Ricks College's choirs. It was through these experiences that she realized how much she loved teaching, and when she returned to college in 2010, it was to study music education at Idaho State University in Pocatello, ID. There, she earned a Bachelor of Music Education with an emphasis in music theory, music history, and choral studies. Although she has participated in several high level performing groups and appeared in many musicals and operas, she considers herself an educator, not a performer.

Mrs. Haddox has been married for 14 years, and has three children, ages 11, 8, and 2. She enjoys spending time with her family, playing video games, sewing, ballroom dancing, and she is slightly obsessed with cats.
